Toshifumi Kodama, a Japanese professional Keirin track cyclist, made his fixed gear crit debut in RHC BK 10. This made him so enthusiastic about the sport that he is now trying to get it off the ground in his homecountry Japan. On May 28 the Sfidare Crit, Japan’s first fixed gear crit, was held in Hirata on a 1.1k course with 7 turns and a variation of wider and very narrow roads. After 12 laps it was former American crit rider Christopher Bogedin taking the win followed by Toshifumi Kodama and Jasmin Ten Have.
