Team Stanridge continues to add top riders from the road and track to their fixed gear crit team. A couple of weeks ago, it was announced that top US crit racers Brandon Feehery, Evan Hartig, and Jake Silverberg will represent the team. The team is strengthened with Tegan Cochrane, despite not having a background in fixed gear crit racing, her race resume reveals that she most likely is a threat to all top fixed gear crit racers in the female peloton.

A little background info on Tegan from the Team Stanridge website:
“Tegan knew exactly what she wanted to be, a hockey player. In 2009 Tegan experienced the high of being called up for the U18 Canadian national team and devastating low of tearing her ACL twice. Tegan took a few years off to find herself, while backpacking in New Zealand in 2015, Tegan discovered her love for riding on a velodrome in Invacargill. She immediately returned home to B.C. Canada to pursue her dream of becoming a competitive track cyclist.”
“In two short years of racing, she became a 3x Canadian National Champion and was chosen to represent Team Canada on the World Cup stage as a sprinter. With a background in competitive hockey, and experience in both skeleton and Red Bull Crashed Ice, Tegan is a thrill seeking athlete that loves to try new things. Her debut at the 2018 Red Hook Crit will mark the beginning of her new adventure into criterium racing.”
For those wondering, Yes Tegan squats, and yes she can also ride the rollers.
