The most important day of the RHC is always Saturday, race day. But as you may know, Barcelona has a lot more to offer than a wicked technical racecourse. It has sunshine, a beach, and a sparkling ambiance that will have you wanting to return as soon as you leave. To help you make the most of your stay we made a list of #critweek social events you cannot miss.

On Wednesday (30-08-2017) there is a release party in the flagship store of clothing brand Laser Barcelona. It’s a collaboration between bike brand Rodagira and the Barcelonan clothing brand. The address: C/del Doctor Dou 2. Doors open at 7 PM and it lasts until 9 PM.

On Thursday (31-08-2017) there is an RHC/Café de Finca social ride. The 80-kilometer ride starts in Barcelona at the Towers of Plaza España at 9 AM and will take you to the beautiful and windy Mediterranean coast over rolling hills. There will be three route guides and a photographer on a motorbike accompanying the riders. The ride will end at the Café de Finca.

On Thursday night, there will be the hometown release of the Dosnoventa book: “Brotherhood: A Year Inside Dosnoventa”. The 290-page book gives a look inside the Dosnoventa Brotherhood, their international family and the fixed gear scene, through the lens of Spanish photographer Sergio de Arrola. The party is at the Wer-Haus (Carrer d’Arago 287). It starts at 7 PM and lasts until 11 PM.

Friday (01-09-2017), come tradition, it’s track day. Riders who registered can ‘warm up’ on the wood of the famous Velòdrom d’Horta, the open-air cycling track used during the 1992 summer Olympics.
Some wiki facts about the velodrome: It was the first modern 250-meter track in the world. Esteve Bonell and Francesc Rius designed the venue. It won the FAD architecture price in 1985, Europe’s longest-running architecture and interior design award.

On Friday night (7 PM – 11PM) there is the official RHC BCN Nr.5 Pre-Race Party at the Parc del Forum. At this party the race cannot be won, but it can certainly be lost ;).

Saturday (02-09-2017) is race day. And of course, the notorious RHC after party, which normally is the best in Barcelona of all RHC parties, will take place right next to the track!
