With RHC BK 10 approaching quickly, we asked several RHC 2016 top contenders that are competing in Brooklyn how their season is going, what they expect of the race, themselves, and what they think of the new qualification format. In this edition we spoke to Eleonore Saraiva who surprised the whole women’s field by taking pole position and a 6th place in the race of RHC MLN 7. Eleonore is also the girlfriend and team mate of Olivier Leroy which was also featured in this series.

How do you prepare for RHC BK10?
I prepare the RHC BK10 like my first objective of my season.
How is your season going so far?
Up to now my season is mixed. I won my first crit in Milano at Lambro crit. But after at the first round of NL Crit I broke my chain at the start.
What do you think of the new qualifications system?
I don’t know what to think about the new qualification system. I wait to see how the girls will ride the qualifications. If the qualifications are fast it’s interesting especially for the spectator. The danger is to use cartridges for the final. We’ll see!
Is your race tac-tics affected by the new qualification system?
In the woman race the qualifications is less important that for the man. I haven’t tac-tics for the qualification. If I’m qualified in good position it’s perfect but otherwise it’s not important.
How do you think that the race is affected by the new qualification system?
I don’t know if the race will be affected by the new qualification system
What is the goal for RHC BK10?
I aim the top 10 the same aim as I have for the RHC 2017 series
