Faces of Red Hook Criterium London No.3 by Nils Laengner

29 year-old German photographer Nils Laengner is becoming a famous face in the fixed gear scene. During Red Hook Criterium London No.3 Nils had to idea to capture the faces of RHC L3. It was his das that convinced him to make an article out of it. All in all we can say that a beautiful portrait series is the result.

Nils on the series “I just wanted to do something different then just taking pictures during the race. So I added the portraits. It’s like band photography (…) everyone knows how the band looks like on the stage..it is (more) interesting to see them backstage or in an other surrounding (…) something new something real (…) that is what I want to add when I am taking pictures during an event like RHC. I would love to do this more often, it could turn into a longtime project.”

Stefan Schäfer, team Specialized Rocket Espresso, winner of the RHC Brooklyn edition. In the third lap he had a puncture and couldn’t change his wheel in time.

Brian Megens, former UCI procyclist Rabobank CT. Couldn’t finish his race because he had a puncture.

Timon Seubert, team Suicycle from Hamburg Germany.

Filippo Fortin, team Bahumer. Pro roadbike rider for Tirol Cycling Team. Winner of this years RHC in London.

Colin Strickland, team Intelligentsia Racing. Leads the RHC series by only few points.

Jasmin Dotti, team IRD Carrera Squadra Corse. Got third in London this year.

Keira McVitty, team RevoRacing.

Alex Briggs, team Specialized Rocket Espresso. Got 3rd at this years RHC in London.

Aoife Doherty, team The 5th Floor.

Nico Heslich, team 8bar. German Madison Champion.

Ash Duban, team Affinity Cycles

Tanja Erath, team Fixedpott. Had a hard crash in the last turn. Won the top antagonist award.
